( Hello! )
(aka the Kaileys)
Graphic design is the beautiful merging of art and systems. As a lifetime artist, I had little say in this career that found me as a second semester high school junior. I work the majority of my day to day as a graphic designer and illustrator, with occasional hours as a screen printer and print maker. I have designed with a variety of clients from musicians, CPG, health care, tech start ups, restaurants, athletic brands, and small businesses. I love to make work focusing on food, community, and the all to familiar, human experience.
I am currently looking for clients in CPG that want to level up and expand their brand with illustration ✏️
If you are interested in working together, have a question, or a good snack recommendation, please send me an email!
Here's my take
While we love to hate Comic Sans, because it is overused and with inappropriate applications, there is a playful charm that only lets me hate it 85% of the time. Somewhere in the world, it exists in the perfect setting - and that is not a daycare.
The definitive correct answer
The beginning of the day should start with as many drinks as possible. Content is up to you but 2 cup minimum. My personal choice is tea and water or tea and a smoothie if I am feeling crazy.
The afternoon snacks must contain multitudes. Something that consists of a protein, carb and fat for optimal afternoon energy - ideally on a cute snack plate alongside a small treat. Emphasis on small, we are not barbarians and need to make it through the rest of the day without a sugar crash.
What you can expect
A majority of projects will follow what I call a funnel method. After discussing project details, timeline, and budget, I will jump (safely + excitedly) into the iterating phase which consists of sketching and pulling inspiration or ideas respectively. The process then flows like a funnel - choosing from sketches and/or ideas and continuing to refine and design them down into the end product.
